EISEDICHT M-Tec6 Tyvek® Multi-Pipe and Cable Sealing Grommet – 6 × 16–25 mm

The EISEDICHT M-Tec6 Tyvek® airtight sealing grommet is a self-adhesive multi-penetration sealing solution designed for airtight sealing of up to 6 cables or pipes passing through airtight and windtight building membranes. It is suitable for professional electrical installations, building envelope sealing and construction work.

Manufactured using a two-component production process, the one-piece grommet features six factory-sealed, pierceable, permanently flexible sleeves with integrated strain relief. Each sleeve accommodates a line diameter of 16–25 mm and has a height of 28 mm.

The 320 × 320 mm Tyvek® adhesive collar is tear-resistant and coated with a strong polyacrylate adhesive for attachment to the airtight layer. The product is water-repellent, UV-resistant and halogen-free, with a temperature resistance of -30 °C to +100 °C. Installation is possible at temperatures from +5 °C.

The grommet is intended for indoor and outdoor use on vapour barriers, vapour control membranes and roofing underlay membranes. It is designed for airtight installations in accordance with DIN 4108-7, DIN 18015-5 and the requirements referenced in GEG 2020.

Applications & Usage

The EISEDICHT M-Tec6 multiple sealing grommet is used for sealing bundles of electrical cables, telephone cables, antenna cables and conduits passing through airtight or windtight building layers.

It is suitable for vapour barriers, vapour control membranes and roofing underlay membranes in both indoor and outdoor applications.

For installation, an opening corresponding to the cable or pipe diameter must be prepared in the membrane. The appropriate sleeve is pierced, the line is passed through and the adhesive collar is bonded according to the manufacturer's instructions.
