A heavy-duty wire staple. This is the thickest type of staple and is required when the job demands a robust staple.
Due to its thickness, it occupies a more significant area when used compared to fine and medium wire staples.
It provides higher holding power and is excellent for assembly on wood or plastic on thick surfaces.

It is also the widest crown type.
A wide crown staple has many similar applications as medium crown staples.
When aesthetics are not as important, a wide crown is a good choice.
